Today, Dampoppblog learnt Via Dailymail that about half of deaths from cancer could be avoided so long people keep to a healthy life style. A team of scientists at havard medical school announced this after examining records of 136,000 white Americans. The scientists discovered that cases of cancer will drop by 20 to 40 percent and mortality would drop by half, if entire population adopted a healthy lifestyle which include
• quitting Smoking
• Consuming no more than one drink per day for women, and two for men
• Doing at least two and half hours of moderate exercise per week
• Keeping to a body mass index (BMI) of between 18.5 and and 27.5
The scientists also stated that,if the entire population does follow this well publicised health advice,
* Deaths for lung cancer would be slashed by 80 per cent
* For bowel cancer by up to 30 per cent
* Prostate cancer by 21 per cent and
* Breast cancer by 12 per cent.
