According to TheNet.ng, the party, held on May 24, 2016, was organised by the duo of Mallam Abdul Okwechime and Akin Adeoya, the owners of the Prince of Anthony Hotels, where the event was held. Veteran Yoruba film actor Dele Odule has revealed his most embarrassing moment was when an un-remorseful fan poured water in him. The star actor claimed that the fan poured on him a sachet water and was still wondering why he was annoyed since he is a celebrity. He said, “The craziest thing was when a fan of mine poured me sachet water. I just highlighted from the car and she splashed the water she was drinking on me. I had to hold myself because I was really angry. She even asked why I was angry, that she did it out of love for me. I told her that if it were to be acid or pepper, she would have done the same thing. I just ignored her and moved on. Humble Entertainment, a show promoting agency in London, UK, has criticised Nigerian pop singer, Wizkid, for failing to perform at their concert after he has been booked for the event. The agency, who are the organisers of Safari Night gigs, released a statement online, apologising to fans for Wizkid’s failure to perform at the concert. The statement released on May 26th, 2016, reads, “HumbeEnts first and foremost would like to express our sincere apologies for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by Wizkid being unable to attend our event. We worked tirelessly to rectify this issue but unfortunately it was beyond our control. Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Runtown has parted ways with his record label, Eric Manny Records (or at least he’s trying to) and they didn’t do so on the best of terms. Eric Manny, owned by billionaire businessman, Okwudili Umenyiora, has gotten a court injunction stopping Runtown from performing as an artist, amongst other things, pending when they settle their issues. Runtown got his lawyers to write to the label, claiming threat to life, extortion, and that he didn’t get his payment/royalties from performances, ring-back tunes and etc. He also said he has returned all properties he received from the label when he signed with them in 2014. President Mohammadu Buhari has shifted the responsibility of naming the looters of national assets and the details of the loot to the Ministry of Information. Recall that the president had at various times in the recent times assured Nigerians that he would make public the details of the money recovered from looters during his Democracy Day national address. But while making the broadcast on Sunday, the president who however acknowledged that some significant amount of assets have already been recovered said that the Ministry would soon give full details. He said: “We are also engaged in making recoveries of stolen assets some of which are in different jurisdictions.
