I met this guy, let’s call him Mr. C a few years ago through a friend. He was everything most girls would want; young, rich and cute. I had only known him for two weeks before he invited me over to his new crib which he had just spent a small fortune furnishing Going to his house was kind of the first date we were going to have. He came over to my place to pick me up and I looked forward to a pleasant evening. We got to his house and I was impressed with the decor. He had a good and decent place. After sitting for a while, he said he was hungry. I asked him what he wanted to do about it. Mr C looked at me and told me he had chicken in his freezer that I should go inside and prepare rice so we ( I, himself and a few of his friends who came over) could eat. I was shocked but pretended not to hear him. He said it again loudly and I politely asked him “Why should I cook for you and your friends”? He looked at me and said, “you are a woman you should know how to put the ...

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the receipt of a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari, informing the legislature of his intention to extend his medical vacation in the United Kingdom. The upper chamber of the National Assembly however failed to provide details of the letter. Earlier on Sunday, the Presidency had announced that Buhari’s 10-day vacation to the UK had been extended. The extension was contained in a three-paragraph statement made available to journalists by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.  Adesina said the extension was necessary to allow the President complete a series of tests recommended by his doctors and get the results before he could return to Nigeria. Although he said Buhari had already dispatched a letter to the National Assembly on the extension, he did not specify the duration of the extension. Syria rejects Amnesty's report of mass hangings as 'untrue'

BEIRUT — Syria's justice ministry is rejecting an Amnesty International report of mass hangings of as many as 13,000 people in a prison near Damascus, calling the allegations "totally untrue" and part of a smear campaign. The ministry's statement was published by Syria's state-run news agency on Wednesday, a day after Amnesty released its report. It says "misleading and inciting" media outlets carried the Amnesty report with the intention to smear the Syrian government's reputation on the world stage — particularly after recent "military victories against terrorists groups." The government refers to all armed opposition as "terrorists." It also says the allegations are "baseless" because executions in Syria follow due process and various stages of litigations. Amnesty's report says the mostly civilian victims were hanged after military trials that lasted minutes.
